Congressional STEM Academic Competition Under Way

The first annual Congressional Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Academic Competition, known as the “House App Contest,” is under way. The competition encourages creativity and participation in STEM education fields.

The competition was established by members of the U.S. House of Representatives. High school students compete by creating and exhibiting their software application, or “app,” for mobile, tablet or computer devices on a platform of their choice.
