Arkansas Computer Science Educators Conference

The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Office of Computer Science, in partnership with the Arkansas Chapter of the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA Arkansas), is pleased to announce the 2018 Arkansas Computer Science Educators Conference!

Call for Presenters


Proposal Deadline is Midnight (Central Daylight Time) on Sunday, March 25, 2018


To create a dynamic agenda, ADE and Arkansas CSTA need presenters of high-quality computer science oriented sessions; therefore, the conference Call for Presenters is officially open! The program selection group seeks proposal submissions related to the practice of teaching and learning computer science and information technology. The group is seeking the following sessions:

  • Birds of a Feather Sessions (60 minutes) - Unstructured group discussion about a common computer science theme, concept, or issue;
  • Individual/Small Group Presentations (Both 60 and 90 Minutes);
  • Panel Discussions (90 minutes) - Panel discussion proposals should reflect a diverse group of perspectives;
  • Workshop/Interactive Presentations (90 minutes, 3 hours, 6 hours, and 9 hours).

Intended Audience

The 2018 Arkansas Computer Science Educators Conference is open to any educator, industry representative, or community leader that is interested in learning more about computer science education, especially as implemented in Arkansas.
