Statement of Assurance

The Arkansas Commissioner of Education or the State Board of Education may require that the superintendent of each school district file a written statement of assurance with the department as evidence that the school district for which the superintendent is responsible has complied with any or all of statutory requirements. The Statement of Assurance must be filed with the Standards for Accreditation Unit by Oct. 15 of each year. A.C.A. §6-15-202(f).

The ADE shall notify all Schools not meeting the Standards for Accreditation of deficiencies by May 1 of each year.

For additional information, please visit Statement of Assurance Guidance, an updated list of expectations (previously on the statement of assurance) that provides links to Arkansas Code, amendments, and other supporting documents.

Anyone with questions or concerns may contact the Standards for Accreditation Office for assistance.
