Month of the Military Child

April is the Month of the Military Child!

April has been designated the Month of the Military Child. Numerous states, communities, and organizations across the nation will be celebrating military children throughout the month. Arkansas is part of the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3), a national organization committed to easing transitions for military children.

  • Observe Purple Up! Day. It's April 15, but this year we're observing it on April 25. Communities around the country will honor military children by wearing purple. It's a visible way to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices. Show your support on this day by wearing purple.
