Technology Planning

The Technology Resources Unit provides technology planning guidance, professional staff development and serves as the Arkansas Technology Plan Approvers.

State Technology Plan

The Arkansas Department of Education supports a broad, three-year plan to integrate educational technology into the standards of learning and the curricula of the public schools. The plan presents a vision for the use of technology in schools and classrooms, and it serves as a design for identifying the necessary components of a progressive technology program.

Local Technology Planning

Local technology plans help to identify resources and strategies to stimulate the most active uses of technology to enrich instruction and learning.  Technology Resources provides assistance and resources to help districts:

  • Align local plans
  • Meet all state and federal requirements
  • Evaluate the quality of local plans
  • Evaluate progress toward meeting state goals for educational technology integration
