Governor's All-Region and All-State Coding Competition

The second annual All-Region and All-State Coding Competition sponsored by Verizon will be open to Arkansas public and private school students in grades 8-12 and homeschooled students born on or before August 1, 2004, and after August 1, 1999.

This Arkansas Department of Education webpage is the official location to find competition information including locations, dates, times, rules, registration process, updates and results.

Krista Bourne, president of the South Central Market for Verizon, presented Gov. Asa Hutchinson a $40,000 contribution to sponsor the competition. Verizon contributed $50,000 for the second year of the competition.

2017-18 All-Region Competition

Date: Monday, February 12, 2018


  • Check In 8 a.m. - 9 a.m.
  • Competition Event: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Regional Locations

  • Regional events will be held simultaneously at 16 regional locations around the state (all Arkansas Education Service Cooperatives and one location within Pulaski County). 
  • Teams will receive confirmation of competition location through their certifying principal by January 31, 2018.
