The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) define the knowledge and skills that students should have to be prepared for college or the workforce. The CCSS help build a foundation for our most valuable resource – our children. As students progress through the grades, they build skills and obtain knowledge to be prepared for the job market and college. Students who graduate with the knowledge and skills to enter the workforce can contribute to economic growth not only in Arkansas but also in the global market.
