Educators Rising

The Arkansas Department of Education has partnered with Educators Rising, an initiative that promotes education and prepares high school students to become the next generation of great teachers. Arkansas is one of 23 affiliates with the program.

As a partner, all schools in the state will have access to:
  • Student micro-credentials – certifications students can earn in five key areas such as classroom culture and collaboration
  • Scholarship opportunities for students
  • EdRising Virtual Campus – provides access to resources, videos and lesson plans
  • Educators Rising Standards
  • Networking opportunities through state and national competitions, conferences and events
  • A strengthened link between high schools and colleges

Administered by Phi Delta Kappa International, an educator association, Educators Rising provides hands-on teaching experiences and complements other programs, like the Arkansas Teacher Cadets program. Educators Rising also can provide a foundation for schools that do not have an existing high school teacher recruitment program.
