Web Course for NBPTS Candidacy


AETN ArkansasIDEAS Web Course

In order to apply for state fee assistance for National Board Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) candidacy, public school teachers, library media specialists, and school counselors must complete the Arkansas Department of Education's (ADE) NBPTS orientation course facilitated by AETN ArkansasIDEAS (Internet Delivered Education for Arkansas Schools). The state fee assistance application is a component of the web course. To access the course, use the directions below:

  • Visit
  • Click “Educators Login Here”
  • Login to the ArkansasIDEAS Portal with your username and password or create a new user account
  • Go to “My Courses”
  • Click “LIBRARY: Leadership and Administration”
  • Click “COURSE: IDEAS - ADE: Arkansas Support Orientation for National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) Candidacy (1-24-13)”

The deadline to apply for state fee assistance is Friday, June 28, 2013.
