The Federal Grants Management Unit assists Arkansas public school districts, open enrollment charter schools, Department of Correction School, and Division of Youth Services Local Neglected and Delinquent Institutions manage funding and/or services through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) by providing day-to-day technical assistance through telephone and email correspondences as well as offering on-site visits and training meetings.
The unit calculates funding for the following ESEA federal programs: Title I Part A, Title I Part D Subpart 1 & Subpart 2, Title II-A, Title III, Title IV-A, Title VI-B REAP (State), and School Improvement 1003(g) to Arkansas Public School Districts, Open Enrollment Charter Schools, Department of Corrections School, and Division of Youth Services Local Neglected and Delinquent Institutions. It also assures obligation and expenditure of those funds according to federal laws and regulations within the 27 months of availability.
