Computer Science Grant Opportunity
Act 187 of 2015 added § 6-16-146 to Arkansas' education statute. This new provision requires each public high school to offer a course in computer science beginning in the 2015-2016 school year. To support districts and charters with the implementation of the provision, a Computer Science Grant opportunity is now available.

Google RISE Awards (HTML)
Google RISE Awards are grants for organizations across the globe that promote computer science education and initiatives that reach girls, underrepresented minorities and students under 18 facing socio-economic barriers.
Application Period: *Check Google Rise Awards website in Fall 2015 for details
Science Initiative for Middle Schools (SIMS) (ASPX)
The SIMS program provides awards of $500 to middle school science teachers to purchase consumable science materials.
